Superb lighting Matt...I love how it gradually get ligter and then so brigt in the next room. Great composition and bw tones.

@bluechameleon: thanks so much for your generous comments. I wanted to capture the light so much here as it flooded through the house. I was awed at this house. It was deserted and derelict. It was on top of a hill and the afternoon sun flooded through. I imagined the memories pf people who had lived there and I sensed the atmosphere, the emotions and lives that were gone now.

Always makes me sad. We have many stone ruins in south australia and I always imagine the families that must have lived there. You were lucky to be able to walk through. It does'nt look too bad, I've seen places for sale that are a lot worse than that.

Thank you for the link Matt. I especially liked the one of the boy next to the ribbed glass of the door...and the broken window with the remnants of tape.
