It looks like he's about to jump! I actually peered to make sure it was'nt too high.

@lisa v: no, no jumping ;-)

Pavla from Saint James City, United States

it does look like he's about to jump, but I think he was just enjoying the breeze :)

@Pavla: yes it was warm !!

gbe from kansas city, United States

the plastic trash can and the modern city are interesting elements for me. they emphasis that the stance, which seems still and contemplative, comes from within him - is part of his practice, not dependent on an ancient or elaborate temple. needless to say, i like this one very much.

@gbe: wonderful observation Grant ! I had a brief minute to shoot this. Shooting with a Hassleblad isn't quick as you'd know !

bluechameleon from Vancouver, Canada

I love the contrast of the city beyond the person. Like a meditation, but contradiction at the same time. Beautiful shot!

@bluechameleon: Many thanks Blue. I always appreciate your views and comments here

DonLon from Providence, RI, United States

There is such contrast in this story. This ia a great story image. Very well done.

@DonLon: Thanks again DL. Yes the contrast of objects is certainly a talking point here. Sometimes photos have more meaning after they were taken. To be honest here all I initially saw was the Monk gazing out the doorway and the wind blowing.... It was there begging to be captured, but I only had a small "window" of opportunity to take a light reading and focus and capture. Glad you like it too.
