Dee's FatherPosted by matt sutton (Sydney, Australia) on 12 September 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Bangkok. I really want to honour this man. He is Dee's father. Dee is a cousin of Chalie, my friend. He is helping rebuild his daughter's home. I met him and although we couldn't talk to eachother that much we understood eachother. It was a stinking hot day. He and his son are helping the government builders. He was covered in concrete dust and grime but held a certain humble nobleness about him. Again and again I am flattered that he allowed me to take his photograph. Hasselblad 503cx, Zeiss80m2.8, Neopan 400, Epson V700. all images are scanned direct from film negatives or positives with no digital processing, unless stated, thanks for visiting.... but please don't take - "All rights reserved"

Stovepipe from Ames, Iowa, United StatesI like this - he's got a strong presence, and your exposure is perfect. 12 Sep 2008 10:53am @Stovepipe: many thanks. the film got buggered by the blasted XRAY machines at the airports.... especially the high ASA stuff. there's a slight fog over the neg. hardly noticeable really. but I know its there ;-) Pavla from Saint James City, United Statesgreat portrait and even greater heart! 12 Sep 2008 1:14pm @Pavla: thanks Pavla. I have a big admiration for the men of this disposition. Great work! 13 Sep 2008 5:01am @red: Many thanks Red. You are very kind in your words here. He was a great man in my opinion. I was humbled to be there to be honest. I am further pleased your english is improving !! |
