@Peety: Peety, thanks. I was asked to take her portraits for promotion of her new Album and concert. She is a jazz singer by trade. Her new album has 2 themes, one of which is "dislocation" form her normal world. we talked the day before about her, her influences in music, her new album, what it meant to her and what she was achieving... then I just listened to her music and started sketching up ideas to portray her music and her themes... I think some photos come as a result from conversation, relationship, and as photographers we discover and tell the story. I took lots of photos but felt good about the direction and what we were doing... I feel contented when this happens and thoroughly exhausted afterwards. I hope that all makes sense.
