@ordinaryimages: well IR film is easy enough to use. I'm not sure if it's still available though. As for digital cameras there's also a website that converts Nikon D70's (which seems to be a popular choice) into infra-red. All they do is remove the IR filter from the sensor I believe. But once converted it would be hard to change it back. So you have a permanent IR DSLR. Maybe an option....

@Shirin Moosavi: I'm not a real experienced photoshop user. I didn't know you could do that. That's cool. Yep 1978. I used B&W cause colour was too expensive. Plus you could do all your own work out of a converted bathroom/darkroom. When I grow up I wanna be a photographer
