Nishana Minhaz from Calicut / Kochi, IndiaThe reflection and the building it has fallen upon look so different in the architecture styles. It provides a nice contrast.. I donot understand the significance of your title though.. 'Wanting'? 27 Feb 2009 6:53am @Nishana Minhaz: Thank you for your comments. Making a title for my photos is distracting for me personally. I think everything is open to personal interpretation and subjective to our emotions, thoughts, and experiences in life. "Wanting" was a feeling that I felt before I took this photograph. I think for me I saw a building reflecting what it wanted to be in an older building style. Also that lone person walking. They could be considered as "wanting". Also I photograph because I want to satisfy my eyes. NADINE DERUYCK from KLUISBERGEN, Belgiumexcellent Matt : sharp , beautiful reflection and subject, wonderful in B and W 27 Feb 2009 9:55am @NADINE DERUYCK: thanks Nadine philip from brugge, Belgiumnice merge of old & new! great metaphor illustrating how the past is litteraly reflected in the future ... 27 Feb 2009 10:45am @philip: Thanks Philip @-1q5yChØt!c-: thanks very much @Robert: thanks Robert grant from kansas city, United Statesthis is an especially interesting reflection photo. it seems as though the reflection of one building becomes a part of the other. i really like it. 27 Feb 2009 4:03pm @grant: thanks Grant. I love reflections as most of do and I had to gain a certain vantage point to getthis ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesInteresting discovery. The reflection initially gave me the impression of a double exposure until I examined the image with care. Great composition and exposure Matt. I like it very much! 27 Feb 2009 5:09pm @Bill: thanks Bill. You are always so interesting to read @peter: thanks Peter I appreciate you stopping by here Stovepipe from Ames, Iowa, United StatesStrikes me as a kind of evolution or even competition between the buildings - the lone walking figure is insignificant in the epic scale of things. Fine thought-provoking scene. 28 Feb 2009 2:45am @Stovepipe: thanks Mark |
